How to Use the YouTube Song Database in Siglos Karaoke Professional

Siglos Karaoke Professional can add a prepared catalog of karaoke songs available on YouTube to its search results and remote request queue. This guide explains how to enable the catalog and what to check before using it at a show.

Before you start: The feature requires an internet connection and an active Siglos Karaoke Professional license with an active support period. The catalog offers selections of 10,000, 30,000, or 50,000 songs. Individual videos may become unavailable because they are hosted by YouTube channels outside PowerKaraoke’s control.

Enable the YouTube song database

  1. Open Settings in Siglos Karaoke Professional and go to KJ.
  2. Select YouTube song database….
  3. Choose the catalog size that suits your setup and enable the database.
  4. Search for a song and check that its video is available before you need it during a show.
YouTube song database settings in Siglos Karaoke Professional

Siglos updates an enabled song database once a week. You can disable it from the same settings area. Catalog entries use file names in the form pk:123456.pk, so they are easy to identify in the song list.

Check availability and permissions

PowerKaraoke is not affiliated with YouTube or the channels that publish the songs. A catalog entry does not guarantee that the video will remain available. Test songs you expect to use and keep a local library as a fallback.

Using YouTube for a public performance may conflict with YouTube’s Terms of Service, and additional licenses may be required. Check the rules that apply to your venue and performance before relying on these videos for a show.
