We are extremely happy to announce another technical advancement of Siglos Karaoke Professional. If you go to Settings / KJ you will find Detect and speed up instrumentals section.
It works for CD+G files only (ZIP format as well). Siglos will scan the file and look for moments that display does not change. In almost all cases these moments are instrumentals like guitar solos. If you would like to skip them, Siglos gives you two options:
1. Fade and skip will gently mute and skip the instrumental
2. Speed-up will fast forward the instrumental part (the quality of the speed up depends on the music)
Using this option can save you time on busy nights when patrons sing Master of Puppets after Highway Star.
You may also fine-tune individual songs in the database to enable instrumental detection only for some of them — you can do this in Edit Song window opened from Song Details or from database window.
